| We did this with glass window blocks and used a masonry bit, as the local supply didn't have diamond bit and decided to late to try this and get one ordered. We put in on a drill press, slow speed and used a lot of water, as you could see the smoke rolling off. A couple of the blocks got bigger chips inside, we suspect we weren't cooling long enough or put too much pressure at the last stage.
We tried the wine bottles and broke all of them. | |
