I would guess he is feeling angry (venting) about how the world is treating his decision.  He wants endorsement, not correction or un asked for guidance of his life. 

People do not like to feel guilty for their choices, even when they know they are wrong.   

Correction for 99% of people is hard to take, some take it harder than others. 

Satin teaches "acceptance" instead of correction of our sins. 

He is simply looking for support of his decision while lashing out against others who tell him the truth.   

 





I didnt read in the original post that he said anything about what the problem was. He just said wayward ways. To most church elders, that would include 99% of the young people. The other 1% would be their own children, and of course, they are perfect.
