From the perspective of the seller, or dealer in this case, he would rather err in favor of the tax. When an auditor comes in, they will be looking for any tax-exempt sale that should have been taxed. I think that's why you get charged tax unless you bitch a little.
My point was only that a toy can't be exempt in the eyes of the tax-man.
We had a sales tax audit 5-6 years ago by the crooked State of IL.
LUCKILY, we had ducks in a row with only minor issues. Local CIH dealer was not so lucky. | |
