There is nothing wrong with gambling or drinking as long as it isn't done in excess. 

Saturday evening Mass was not instituted to cater to Sat. nite drinkers.  It has more to do with those people whose jobs must be attended to on Sundays.

The sex abuse scandal was covered up by some, but not more than other denominations covered up theirs.  Jimmy Swaggert wasn't out visiting whores in broad daylight, nor were others out in the open with their sinfulness.  The Catholic scandal was blown way out of proportion for the most part, and anti-Catholic zealots keep dragging it up belittle the Church.

...so where is the forgivenness in you that Jesus demands of us all?
