Thanks for answering

Around here, several of the local Catholic church have "picnics". Years ago, that would have been, meatloaf, side dishes, deserts, fellowship and prayer.

Fast forward to today, They have bingo, all kinds of card games, all types of carnival games, music and beer booths everywhere. The city shuts down for the weekend for this. The town sees it as a income source and turn the other way.

As for the saturday night mass, when I was growing up/running around we had to wait on our Catholic friends to go to church for the week, on saturday night. Lets just say most knew how to drink and party. Parents were happy the kids went to church, kids were happy they could party and not have to get up and go to church on sunday. Win Win

I dont put all people that go to church on saturday as drinkers/drunks, but I do see it as a convience thing going on saturday for some.

I respect faithfull members of the church, but ole Smokie was takin every poster that had an opinion to task. Like the church was perfect.

Peace
