Near Richmond, IN | We've talked to my grandson that way (he's 4 now) and all I usually have to do is give him a "look" and he'll straighten up and know what I mean, but it's because I followed up threats with action, I didn't just sit and yell, like I've seen happen. His parents will tell you that he still says that I'm his favorite "Papa", and he has 4 of them! I love him to death but he has to mind and he respects that. My wife and I talk to him and explain things to him but will also crack his butt if he misbehaves and he knows it. We get along great with him and I imagine we always will.
