| Used to have "that guy" as a neighbor. He would plant corn one year and harvest it in the fall of the next year - maybe. We would always joke that he grew 465 day corn!
He milked some cows too - and it was not uncommon to see his barn lights on at 10 pm or later. He was milking too - could hear his vacuum pump running.
This guy could afford to farm that way though. He worked for a GM subsidiary for many, many years and was bringing home a pretty good wage at the time. | |
