Subject: Re: Speaking of catholic wedding ceremonies

From our mixed faith marriage several years ago I (me the outsider) had to agree not to interfere with my wife raiseing our children the way she wanted (may have said Catholic--been a long ways back) . We had discussed that we were going to decide ourselves and be together so I had no problem with signing (I think I had to sign a paper---agree to anyway)

We took the courses before being married in the church and once married started our life together in my home church. She said she was never encouraged to study the Bible on her own in the Catholic church but our church did/ does. She feels so much more enlightened to the reality of the Bible being the Living Word of God and readable as individuals. Our denomination teaches the priesthood of the believer.
