My RO system at work will put out 0.09ppm water. I have a DI filter and when you run RO water through it, it will come out 0.00ppm. Town water here is 14ppm. The cleaner the water going into the DI system the longer it will last. When I have to run the town water through the DI filter it exhausts the filter quicker. Just some Ice Techs knowledge here ;)
DI water also is used more due to it can be an on demand system. Most RO systems I have been around need storage tanks due to the slowness of filling. To get a system to put out the same flow as my DI tank you would be looking at 45k. Thats just for an average garden hose flow rate. | |
