Iowa | I travel through Minneapolis fairly often. I just went through there yesterday. A few tips... - If you do not stay at a hotel that offers an airport shuttle, park at one of the off-site lots that will shuttle you to the airport. It will save you money and you are picked up/dropped off right at your car, versus walking across large lots. I recommend these folks: http://www.pnf.com/
- If you have a passport, use it for an ID versus your driver's license.
- Do not attempt to take any liquids on board or even empty liquid containers (water bottles, etc.), except for those that will fit in the Ziploc bag.
- You can bring on one carry-on suitcase and one briefcase/laptop bag/etc. Do not overfill your carry-on. If you do, and it is a challenge to get in the overhead compartments, you will not have fun. The briefcase/laptop bag/etc. can sit underneath the seat in front of you.
- If possible, avoid checking luggage, makes the trip much more smooth.
- Wear shoes and a belt that are easy to remove.
- Remove everything from your pockets, including paper items, and place them on the conveyor prior to going through security screening.
