One reason won't rent it out, would like to live a little longer. Might get under the MRS skin, if hang around the house too much.
Would be a lot easier to collect the rent check, set on my hind end and do nothing. But that would create a whole bunch of other problems. Best just to keep plugging along.
Feel sorry for those that rent most of the ground they farm, tuff situation to be in with the type of volitility we have today and look to have in the future. Survival will depend on how good risk managenement is. No easy answers for sure.
IMO landowner will come out on top. Too much big iron setting around the countryside.
