| Are you here in WI, by chance? I've read the Election Day Manual for Election Officials and it states right in there that Election Inspectors (AKA "Poll Watchers") count ballots after polls close. They can also employ tally people, but must be under supervision of the Inspectors.
The ballots are turned in to the County Clerk the next day - I'm sure for safekeeping in case of a recount demand.
In this situation, tally people were employed, but were NOT under supervision of any Inspector - which is what my concern is. | |
