I'm as frustrated as the next guy with paying people not to work.. but given this economy.. and some (not all but some) really do need it..  Are we surprised when through temporary unemployment and partial unemployment that we are paying people not to get jobs.. then why are we shocked at the high unemployment rates?

On the flip side.. what do you do with a guy like this?

You know.. I think we can do better and "teach people how to fish".. vs making them "dependent"... however, even I want to see that those truely unfortunate in this economy are taken care of.  Let's fix the problem.. but be mindful of those in need.. while we are doing it.

That is a really SAD picture... no other way to put it... I wouldn't be surprised if it were "staged" but there is an element of truth even if it were.. no one can deny that.
