I am old and I have been on both sides of the landowner/renter equation. Here is what I have
noticed fwiw. The tenants that expect the rent to stay steady when prices get higher (which I have
done for them) are the same tenants that want the rent to decrease when grain prices go down. In other
words those type of renters conveniently FORGET that I didn't raise the rent on them when things were good
and are whining when grains go down and tell me how bad it is and expect me to lower the rent for them (which
I have occasionally done for younger guys.) Those same guys, after they have made it, act superior towards me
and take me for a fool, when I, in fact was caring and nice enough to help them out. Had I known they would be like
that I would not have done that, and in fact AM the fool they treat me like now. It's not a good feeling to get walked
on. I have no idea whether some of you are that way and it is NOT MY INTENT to portray that you are. I am only making
this observation based on my experience.

Buford- you are spot on!
