mn | Ok I farm and have off farm income (OTR). that said I know I will most likely not word this well so please bear with. with the rise in price of grain, land, rent, and equip. that SOME are getting and paying how long before the city folks will say to the govt. they (we farmers) need to pay our fair share in taxes. example 160ac farmland@$6250/ac= 1mil. = xtax , a 1mil house in town = etax. If I'm not getting my point across I'm sorry, but with the shape that the roads are in and every township is darn near out of money not counting the schools, how long before they come after us ? (so to speak) don't want to upset anybody or start a big fight, it's just some things I think about when I'm driving at nite. | |
