Thanks coup. I had a conversation with a landlord who called last night wanting more money for next year. Technically it's after oct 1 and I'm within my rights to say "heck no" but we both know how that will work out. He'll get more money next year. Our machinery is pretty much paid for, and, I think our rents are under control. If land prices continue to run it will only get harder to buy land. There are several scenarios that concern me. There are several different ways that the ethanol bubble could get pricked, I think losing the veetc could be a first step. A trade war with china could be destabilizing, a strong dollar policy could make us uncompetitve. IMHO we are in rareified air, and folks get jumpy, plus, it's been around 35 years since the last crises, and there are folks preaching, " this time it's different". Sure, it's different, but stuff happens.
