That is only half of the story.The monetary breakdown has as much if not more to do with the loss of monetary creation regardless if it is measures by gold values or the U.S. dollar. Its as if our wealth in America has slipped through the cracks in the floor.Returning to a gold standard won't save us, but it might keep those "on the inside" from playing us for fools so easily the next time.
