Around here, it has come down to 2 main breeds and one breed running a distant third.  Top two are black angus and red angus.  After that you see a few charolais.  I think it's good to see uniform animals that will all be the homogeneous.  Seems to keep the packers happy.  I realize Chars are going to be bigger then the angus though. 

Herefords disappeared here 25 years ago and for good reason.  They just didn't seem have what it takes.  Same thing with a lot of the exotics that came along in the 70's and 80's.
