allowing balancers to be registered was a profit scheme that the association should never have done.  What other organization registers F1's?  I think the balancer is an awesome F1 but should not be a part of the registry.  It is diluting the gelbvieh genetics.  A lot of the gelbvieh breeder sales featured lots now are balancers or even high percentage or straight angus animals.  Adding balancers to their registry was a huge mistake for the breed even though it added a lot of $ to their coffers.  The balancers are a great breeding but should be no different than the baldies or any other F1 breedings as far as registrys is concerned.
