| Dumb laws show? Never heard of it. As far as the idea of a Sabbath Day being dumb that's your opinion, which by the way is not shared by many people. If you don't believe the Bible is legitimate that's fine as long as you don't try to force your belief on others who do. As for critical needs based businesses having to close here, they don't. Just general businesses like bars and car dealerships. Wal Mart even has to close from 11:59 PM Sat till Noon Sunday.----guess Wal Mart is not really considered a "critical needs" kinda business, at least not here yet.
The basis for this Law you think is dumb comes from Bible passages such as these:
Exo 34:21 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:8 is the 4th of what is called the 10 Commandments. These 10 Commandments have been publicly displayed in schools, courthouses and churches all around the US. If you think the 10 Commandments are ridiculous what do you think about the people who don't?
