I was thinking about the comparing pre and post bush tax cuts and not about the SBJA. Thanks for the link (it was in plain english). It didn't get much press though. I still don't have a warm fuzzy about the next few years, but Clinton succesfully turned the boat around and maybe Barry can too. Everytime they talk about 'top 10%' of taxpayers or lets tax the rich, I'm seeing it being a bigger burden to the non-rich. That's been their talking points up until now. If you think of it, the 'land of the free' should be encouraging folks to do things that will make them wealthy and that being wealthy and having more wealthy people is a good thing. More of those folks paying at current tax levels puts a lot of money in the treasury, but the problem is really spending and pretty much always has been when we get in this sort of trouble.
