The elevator wants to have posession of your beans so they can moce them out of the elevator to make room for more grain. Common practice here. No problem as long as your elevator is financially stable. I wopuldn't worry much about it.
Sounds like a deferred payment contract to me. Go ahead and do it and don't think twice.
