North Central MO | I recently graduated from college in December 2010 and decided to return to our family farm. We are having trouble deciding exactly how the addition of a family into the operation should fit. We are currently planning on using my labor in exchange for use of machinery and I'm going to be renting a neighbors farm. Our big questions are what value should be placed for use of the equipment and how much land should be allowed to be farmed by the new member.
We are open to other ideas that anyone might have or that have been used to successfully add a member to the operation.
