My thinking is to be responsible for taking care of your needs but don't let your career consume your entire life. Being the richest person in the cemetery does you no good. I would say you are the one who has to make that decision for yourself as nobody else will. When you complain 50% of the people don't care and the other 50% are happy that you complain!
