west central illinois
I would be in favor of a Insurance program that would insure 100% of ones revenue and forget all of the other farm programs. But I also get so tired of all the people that are to lazy to get off of the dead butts and work for a living. My area not to long ago, had the majority of the people working and doing what every they could to put food on the table and a roof over there heads, it was a pride thing. Now days people think it is no big deal the take welfare. So I play the system just like they do direct, acre, csp payments and what ever else comes along that I qualify for and can do it honestly. As far as estate taxes go they have already been paid, but I think we would be lucky to see a 5 million dollar exemption and a stepped up basis. Looks like the best that we can hope for is 3 million and stepped up basis. The government is broke and this is a place they can extract cash fairly easy.
