My wisdom teeth came through when I was a teenager. Had them for years. They were removed much later when they got cavities. Since they were right on top they came out with a simple pulling.

The tooth-like piece sure didn't look like it was ever part of a tooth. It wasn't inside the socket, it was to the side of it in the gum.
