S.C. Wisconsin | Being a dairy farmer myself at the other end of the age scale. We even raise our own feed but it's getting frustrating feeding those cows and struggling to get a return when you could be selling feed and making a return. I burned retirement money in 2009 and am not in the mood to let someone else to steal more of my equity. It's got to be tough for the ones who have to buy most of their feed. The story is that there are a lot of dairy operators that are under water so maybe this could be the death knell. The markets have to change for the producers, but who knows when. Maybe I am just venting but it's getting frustrating.
