| A good post today on zero hedge by Art Cashin.
Additionally, I have mentioned a few times about the book "The Black Obelisk" RE: about average folks during the Great German Inflation
For as long as I can recall..sometimes the best time to buy fertilizer was in the fall, sometimes right after Jan. 1 & rarely during the Spring.
As I have also mentioned several times, we are in the cycle whereby the folks who need to be concerned about price, are the Users.
I entend the following only as a 'think piece' -not as a prediction.
What if, we are entering a phase in this economic nightmare whereby the inputs should be purchased FIRST & crops sales later? In Germany, over a period of years, some simple food items rose from a few marks to price levels in the millions.
The real Twilight Zone (theory) would be to own the land, the equipment, but the fertilizer & other inputs was too expensive to raise a crop.
These are strange times. | |
