That's what I did . .. . elm tree that was dyeing anyway. Perfect crutch for natural stand. Cut it down, kid comes up to the house and asks why I cut his deerstand tree down on neighbors property. I asked him what tree? Only tree I cut down was on MY side of the 5 wire fence line . . .. He said, Oh. I then asked if he'd been trespasing . . . . said he didn't know. Now, after talking with him a bit and explaining the laws, I let him cross my land to get to that patch of woods to hunt. So far so good.
