I'm a paramedic with syscom ( maryland state police avation unit) we have no fee when we are called we do.. Its 5 grand for the rotors to start turning inssurance if you have it pays %80 if no innsurance it is on you....The only privatly owned are like disney land places like that airports alot of casinos but that is about it fire fighter departments are all members of an assiotion that protects them.. if i cross county lines and lose my rescue do to somthing falling on it that insurance covers it and so on its kinds hard to explain on 3 hours of sleep since monday but ill try to type it up on my down timetonight.....
