Near-north Ontario, French River
How thin is thin , and how thick is thick? I've had some luck gouging out welds with a normal welding rod. Crank the heat way up and keep the rod at a very low angle to the weld and make jabbing motions at the weld to gouge it out. Think along the lines of a similar motion that you would use if using scaper to remove caulking from a similar joint. Clear as mud ?? LOL It will eat up some welding rods but for a small scale project it won't break the bank.
