Panhandle of Ne.
There are several dif. ways to approach the accident, and I am sure it was an accident, he didn't do it on purpose. If my employee has a brainfart, I ask them if they learned anything from this. If they are TRULY sorry, I have a lot of tolereance for their mistakes, but if they are non-chalant about it, I tend to get pissed.

As for this particular accident, do you have autotrac? If so, I find myself turning to sharp using autotrac to get back on the next pass. If a person pushes the resume button, the tractor will react 10x faster than it would by just turning, by hand, into the next pass. My drag type sprayers hitch stays "shiny" because I hit resume to soon. $hit happens.

By the same token, if the employee was distracted by a $%*!@^ cell phone, I get REAL pissed.

My thoughts have always been, if a person is working, trying to do a good job, Murphy's law will ALWAYS kick in some time or another. If a person is setting on his arse doing nothing, chances are he won't make a mistake!!!
