Then too I am curious, if your child gets the new teacher with only a BA and my child gets the older teacher with the masters is my child getting a better education?  Are you being short changed in the same school? For that matter many new teachers may not be anywhere the quality of the older teachers.

When I was in 5th grade I asked a teacher about my idea for a perpetual motion machine.  She explained without hesitation that it violated the laws of conservation of energy.  I recently asked another teacher the same question and she gave me a blank stare, then said maybe it would work.  

Watching Leno when he asks teachers and even professors questions that seem obvious doesn't engender a lot of faith in our system.
