NW Washington | I pay my car insurance company $12 a year for towing insurance. I think I have only used it two times and that was when my daughter had a POS Honda that always had a problem. I have had to have a tow 3 times in 55 years of driving, and one of those Ford paid for the towing. BTW, they will not work on any thing on the road, except maybe a flat tire or give you a battery jump. They tow and then open the hood. So I don't think AAA is worth $84 a year, especially if you don't travel long distances and in areas you don't know. Shop around as other insurances and places like AARP have similar services for less money. | |
