| The problem ended up being a bad filter just like the one in Eds post. It took me a while to find it because I forgot it was even there. I replaced one wire from the phone box to where it splits of to several different jacks and when that didnt fix it I figured it wasnt a wire problem so I went back and traced wires again and found a jack behind the bed that had a filter plugged in but no phone hooked to it. I do have a security system and it did fry the dialer but it that didnt seem to cause any problems. Havent had a chance to check the rest of the alarm yet. Here are pics from the tree it hit in front of the house. Middle pic is of the pieces it scattered on the porch. On another subject, will it kill that tree? Its about 3in wide and 1 in deep.
