N. D. is not unique, 95% of the USA has single coverage with beacon. Double coverage over a lot. Go to www.navcen.uscg.gov/dgps and look. You should be aware that waas is intended to be used by airplanes in the air. There is a different system for landing planes, waas is not allowed for that. I do not think that the Fed Av Adm cares that waas may not work well at ground level, because it was not intended for that. Beacon is intended for ocean and ground level use and from what I read the money for new beacons comes from DOT. The Fed Highway Adm is working with the USCG to get 100% coverage.
