Geeze...take a look at Pincher Creek Alberta. If there ain't at least hundred of them things turning in the wind I would be very surprised. They do wreck (imho) a beautiful mountain view but in this day and age a method to produce energy that has much less impact on the environment than conventional means has to be given a good solid try before calling it no good. Where I live I see the effects of oil and gas exploration and production as well as coal mining and they are not pretty by any means.
 Wind power and solar power may very well be the future salvation for North American energy consumption.
