| I know as a landowner & active farmer I can Section 179 the expense of any tile I put in. My question, is a landowner who either cash rents or rent his land 50/50 to someone else Section 179 tile expense or does he have to depreciate it? We have a older landlord that is interested in doing some tiling if he can Sec 179 it but won't if he has to depreciate it.
I mant to call my tax accountant but it was too late today so thought maybe I could get a quicker answer here.
