Thanks for clarification. We chose to mount the controller off of floor to avoid dirt. For some (unknown) reason our tractor floors seem to collect dirt and mud, probably just one of those "here" things.

We mounted the controller parallel to drive axle with connectors pointing to floor, it's bolted to vertical cab metal at left and below operator's seat. We took that to be equivalent to Trimble recommendation for mounting on vertical part of cab's back wall.
We seem to be getting Trimble advertised performance in very hilly fields with controller not mounted on floor, that's why I asked about floor mounting recommendation.
