Centre county Pennsylvania, USA | Trimble's instructions for mounting EZSteer with T2 controller states that mounting it on rear wall with connectors pointng down is 1 of 3 proper ways of mounting. Are you saying that roll sensor will give poor performance if it is mounted in accordance with those instuctions from Trimble ? Here is screen snap of those instructions.
