SW IL | We will not be as good as last year as far as averages go. Some corn will be real good and some will be pretty poor. Rain has been terribbly spotty this year. Beans dont look to bad but they won't be as good as last year. The heat down here has been intense, darn near two weeks straingt of 96-100. Corn harvest will start in the next 7-10 days on a limited basis. Alot of corn was black layered over a week ago. Last year we had a "northern" Illinois summer with very few days in the 90's which is unusual for us and this year I would have to guess weve had 50+ days in the 90's. Heat does make a difference! | |
