We use a compost barn. It works well aslong as you dont add too much sawdust and if you dig the pack everyday. Like the other guy said, a source of reasonably priced sawdust is the biggest problem. Also, you want to make sure to get a good quality sawdust. The guy I help has gotten a few loads where the saw dust was more like wood chips than saw dust which doesnt work so well because they dont absorb much. During summer, you can ussually get 6 weeks out of a load but winter if its wet your lucky to get 3-4 weeks. The cows love the compost pack though
