| Seems to depend on who you talk to and where you are
A quick trip around both sides of 1-75 ohio shows lots of poor corn and many acres not planted - very good soil
Another person drives a tour bus and says the good acres will more than make up for the poor acres
Always have some areas that do not have a perfect crop
Guess it is total acres times average yield gives total harvested bu. of corn
My guess is 13 bln of corn, unless we get more wide spread damage than we have now
Betting on summer weather doesn't seem to pay, very often. Always seems to average out, in the end.
Maybe 1 in 10 yr. will be enough different to move the market -yield, usage etc.
Is this that 1 in 10 yr. event??? I think not, simply because we have enough left over from last yr. and this yrs. crop-will be enough
Seems I just can't stop being bearish corn. We have the fear factor to think about, also.
I am a little worried about new crop price and the yr. beyond. Seems too many want to grow corn and we are getting better at the yield thing
Making plans for much lower net returns/acre-even if I don't want to think that way | |
