Jim we refer to that as the "kiss of death" here. Really wet for the first two months and the roots only go inches deep. Then dry's out really fast and the plant wilt and roll up really quick. We are setup for that again this year. Was the same way last year but we kept the rain coming and turned it into a really good crop.
