NW IOWA | We do it all the time. They say it is hard on them as it gets to be a lot of heat build-up. I think it is slower than the old coil stove. They say that you run a risk of them cracking. I have since bought a couple of turkey style outdoor cooker and now do most of the canning outside on them. It works much better and sometimes I have 3 canners going at once. I have the jiggle top canners so it is easy to regulate the pressure even on the outdoor burners. | |
