| Since it doesnt sound like you need the cash & will probably feel better about yourself if you still own the futures, I suggest that you put the soybeans on a basis contract & immediately roll forward to Nov, or Jan. You eliminate the storage fees & can 'pick up' a little by having a strong basis & inverted spreads. What is the cash basis running in your area now? If you roll to November, take that basis level & add 35 cents + to that basis level & at the same time buy yourself until the end of october before you have to price or roll. | |
