Illinois | Our church is on a "capital campaign", to reduce the debt (Great), fix the parking lot (Needs done), and then a list of stupid ideas no one seems to know why we need them. Paid some clown $28,000 to set this all up. He came and spoke to the church one Sunday. Who knew the story of the prodigal son was about money? After he stood up there telling us that anyone against this plan was "bitter, unforgiving and immature" I was convinced this was wrong. If you have to call good people names to get your plan through, then you don't have much of a plan. The twisting of scripture to make everything about this campaign is about to make me puke. I'm not going to give up yet, there is to many good people who don't like this but won't say anything. Someone needs to put up a fight. | |
