This may end in some unforseen way that will not be good for BP shareholders. If I owned BP, I would sell and use the tax loss and look at it again after 30 days. But I don't think I would be buying back, there are other places to put the money. This is going to hang over BP, RIG, APC and to some extent HAL for many years.
