Subject: RE: Washing out diesel fuel odor and stain

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona
I know nothing about getting diesel out of clothes but this brought back a memory of what happened to one of my step-brothers house when he tried to get gas out of his clothes. He put his gas soaked clothes in the washer & the gas fumes where ignited by the clothes washer machine motor & it resulted in a fire that did significant damage to his house. I have in the past got gas & diesel on my clothes & I first put them in a 5 gallon bucket of soapy water & would rinse them out couple of times before they went into the washer machine. That fire happen close to 40 years ago but I still remember it like it was yesterday. It made a long lasting impression in my mind. I realize diesel isn't as combustable as gas but you can never be to careful.
