youngbuck- the question you have to ask yourself is if I'm long this market and I will assume that you don't have much sold how will you feel paying margin and losing value on the crop you have not yet sold better yet how do you think your banker will feel about that.

If you go long and don't have everything already sold you are not hedging you are speculating.
